This is a book written by Chrissie Keighery. It is a medium sized book and has a colourful cover with a descriptive blurb. It is a teen book about "love". The story's scene is mainly set at the high school that the teenagers go to. It is about a girl named Edi who has a crush named Archie. She really likes him and everyone says that Archie likes her back. She really wants Archie to ask her out but he never did. So she always planned to ask him out or spend time with him so he can ask Edi out. Edi also gets bad grades at school and her mum and dad really want her to get good marks because everyone in Edi's family is intelligent. It's like she has two different lifes - one at school and one at home.
The main character is Edi because the story is mostly about her life. There are a few other characters, some are: Hazel, Jess and Olympia (Limps) (her best friends), Archie (her crush), Edi's mum and dad and Jai (her brother). Edi, Hazel, Jess and Olympia have meetings every Friday in Edi's room (the caravan). They usually gossip and tell each other what's been going on at school. Hazel has a boyfriend, whose name is Leo, one of Archie's friends. Archie looks hot and plays soccer. He is in a higher grade than Edi. Edi's mum and dad both have a job, her dad works in the hospital. Jai moved to New York because he got a scholarship to study medicine there. Edi really misses him.
I really liked this book because I could understand what was happening in the story. So briefly, it is about a normal girl's life at high school and at home, with the ups and downs. The book was entertaining because I have never really read this type of book before. Some teens could relate to this, because it is about "love". I do want people to buy this book because it is interesting. I still think this book is not appropriate for ages 10 and under. I do recommend this book to ages 11 and over. I give this book 8.5 out of 10 stars!
