Rowin of Rin is an amazing book its got mystery, fantasy and all the other sort of gen're you can think that relate to these. It is a truly amazing story by a well known amusing author Emily Rodda she is also the writer of a well known television show Quest. In this book she has wrote an amazing story about a boy named Rowin who lives in the town called Rin he is the son of a Butcher. Rodda has managed to get some really great rhymes in this book all giving away a little hint to what the next step is going to be about.
This story starts of when the town does not have rain and there is no water in the creek they all start to wonder whether a big rock has blocked the pipe at the top of the mountain. In this story there is a huge amount of cliffhangers in every paragraph it has got no pictures but it has great adjectives that make you have the picture in your head already when you ready a paragraph or two. Rowin and a few other children take part in going on an adventure to the top of a mountain and finding out what happened with only one adult to guide what are they to do when the adult dies and they start to freeze a giant dragon blocks there path . What there is to read now is that who will survive and there is a rhyme linked to that which is... The bravest heart will carry on when sleep is death and hope is gone. Look in the fiery jaws of fear and see the answer white and clear. Then throw away the thoughts of home. For only then your quest is done.
This book has amazing description that tell a story on their own. This book however has some scary words that can scare kids under 8 but its still an amazing book. It has great rhymes that you can remember easily and it also has a puzzle in each Quote that you have to solve by guessing. To sum it all up its a great book by my point of view it is recommended for ages 8 and above due to some scary words.
